Orbitoon (unfinished prototype)
This is an unfinished game build that focuses on playing around and learning the central movement mechanic, I was and am not able to finish the game but i am proud of how fluid the movement is :) Midterms were very bad and I have a lottttttt on my plate at the moment. I made everything seen by myself, sound, programming, art! I hope you like what i was able to make
The game interprets the theme in terms of gameplay and movement, breaking cycles of a moon's orbit to move in the direction flung indefinitely; I like to call it "riding the cosmic drift"
Controls:
The game is controlled with the Z and X keys, holding and releasing to build up power and fling respectively.
Advanced techniques:
Snaking: Switching orbit keys quickly allows you to move in straight lines, but outpaces camera.
Momentum preservation: Alternating orbits keeps your movement speed, while pressing the same key in succession results in total loss.
